About Lelystad and Flevoland
On Thursday evening we will organise a congress dinner, on a voluntary basis.
The dinner will be held in the Aviodrome, in Lelystad. The Aviodrome is the national aerospace museum of the Netherlands. This museum was previously located at Schiphol airport, but since 2003 it is located in Lelystad and one of the biggest attractions in the city. They have a large collection of unique airplanes, but also have items on display related to (manned) space flight. You can go to the
website
of the Aviodrome for an impression (unfortunately only in Dutch). Some information in English can be found on
Wikipedia
.
And even if you don't like airplanes, you will like the drinks, the dinner, and the company!
Busses will take you to the Aviodrome, immediately after the congress finishes on Thursday afternoon.
From 18:00 until 19:30 you will have the opportunity to have a drink and to wander around in the museum. So don't forget to bring your camera!
From 19:30 a seated dinner will be held, with coffee and drinks afterwards.
Busses will leave from the Aviodrome at 23:00 and 24:00 hours to drop you off at your respective hotels.
You will need to register seperately for the dinner. Please make sure that on the registration form you select whether you want to participate with the dinner AND that you tick your menu choice. If you want to participate with this dinner, make sure you register at the same time as you register for the congress. It will likely not be possible to register for the dinner during the congress, so if you haven't yet registered, and still want to participate, contact
Randi Buijs
